A ROOM BY ROOM TOUR THROUGH Spa Factory Bali™
Welcome to Spa Factory Bali™. Spa lovers from around the
world are flocking to Bali to experience the finest in innovative
and pampering treatment. Behind the scenes is an equally
fascinating aspect of the 'total spa experience'. We have
opened our doors to show exactly how the finest, all natural
treatments and products are created.
1. COLD
BLENDING.
The
products made here are shampoo, shower gel, bubble bath,
bath oil, massage oil and body splash. Here, all bases are
mixed, according to the most exacting recipe, with essential
oils, fragrances and other natural ingredients.
2. SOAP
CUTTING.
We make all our 100% vegetable-based soaps in large wooden
casks. Using this simple cutting board we slice the soap
into the desired size. The whole process - from pouring
the soap into the wooden cask to a finished bar of soap
takes 2 weeks.
3. DRY
BLENDING.
This
is where all of our dry elements are combined to make bath
salt, body scrubs and body masks. A large variety of grains,
roots, minerals, leaves, flowers and herbs are scientifically
blended in exotic combinations. We use only locally grown,
fresh ingredients - unique to Indonesia - many coming from
our own garden.
4. HOT BLENDING.
Here we blend together scents, oils and natural ingredients
to bases using a double boiler technique. This is necessary
for cream based products, such as body lotions and conditioners.
5.
ASSEMBLY ROOM.
This is where all Spa Factory Bali™ products come together
into packaged retail. Bottles, jars and tubes are all lined
up ready to be filled and have labels applied. We also assemble
sachets, aromatic incense and gift sets here.
6. TEST
AREA.
Each
product on every table is completely labeled with treatment
function, scent and instructions for use. We also serve
hot & cold refreshments in the entrance.
7. SPA FACTORY SHOP.
Here, for sale, are all of the products you have seen in
the making. This is our guarantee that all retail is freshly
produced to the highest standards and available direct to
you at factory prices.
We certainly
hope you will plan a visit to Spa Factory Bali™ and look
forward to seeing you soon - where there will always be
something new to see and buy.

The "kitchen" for these products handles body
lotions and hair conditioners, for example.
Soaps,
produced in 20 kg blocks from 100 percent natural vegetable
products and cocos nucifera (coconut) cream (no animal fats)
are executed in the Soap Cutting Room. Here, the bricks
are carved and shaped into retail size blocks.
In the
Dry Blending room, bath salts, body scrubs, masques and
herbal powders are concocted from raw materials including
leaves and spices fresh from regional markets or from the
Spa Factory's own gardens. "Pandan, ginger and lemon
grass are among the products we grow," said the Spa
Factory's Managing Director Maria Satiaputri. Not only are
the products employed in body products, but they also are
served in the Spa Factory as hot or iced teas. "Part
of any visit includes fresh, hot or cold Pandan Leaf or
hot ginger tea, from our own Bali recipe."
Packaging,
labeling and custom preparation of products for their final
debut to the world are conducted at the last stop on the
circuit, before they appear in the Spa Factory's retail
outlet, are exported or delivered to other suppliers. Visitors
