CANDLE
NUT NURTURING BODY RITUAL
This
nourishing body ritual makes use of the candlenut, also known
as kemiri, which thrives on trees throughout the tropics.
Used in both traditional healing and beauty practices, the
candlenut contains deep moisturizing properties and can be
used in scrubs, especially for dry to normal skin types. In
ancient Hawaii the candlenut tree is a symbol of enlightenment
and this ritual has been created to celebrate vitality by
giving your skin a new lease of life.
1. THE RITUAL (120 MINUTES)

Foot
Bath, soak both feet in a shallow bowl with warm water
and Foot Bath.

Full
body massage using relaxing Balinese massage and Candlenut
Massage Oil.

Apply
the Candlenut Body Scrub all over the body using
circular motions. Make sure you cover the whole body
with the scrub and leave it to half dry.

Prepare
the bundle by wrapping a bundle of hot sticky rice with
unbleached thin cotton. Dip the bundle into the herbal
water which was already prepared ahead of time by boiling
down a pack of dry herbs with a liter of water. Rub
the bundle on top of the in circular motions. It will
allow the scrub to be absorbed deeper into the skin
while the rice gluten moistures the skin at the same
time. |
